Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale

Use your vote to deliver change in Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale

This election is a pivotal moment. For the first time in nearly 20 years, Labour can win again in Scotland, but only if we run our strongest campaign yet. Voters are crying out for change after 18 years of SNP decline. Too many people are struggling with poverty and ill health, unable to afford the basics or get a GP appointment or operation. We can win in Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale, but only with a candidate rooted in Labour values, with a proven campaigning record, and a vision that can deliver hope.

DEEP LABOUR VALUESA PROVEN CAMPAIGNERA WINNING VISION FOR MSTL

Next year, Scotland faces a clear choice: continued decline under the SNP or a Scottish Labour government focused on delivering for people. Labour will invest in our NHS, restore public services, and have the backs of the people of Scotland.

After nearly two decades in power, the SNP has failed too many. People are struggling to make ends meet or see a GP. Scotland is in social and economic decline, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Labour offers a credible, hopeful alternative.

I joined the Labour Party and a trade union nearly 20 years ago. I’m a devolutionist and trade unionist rooted in our movement’s values. I know first-hand the difference a Labour government makes, it helped my family and gave me the chance to go to university and become a government economist working on policies that improve lives.

In 2024, I stood in Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale. We built a campaign from scratch, nearly tripled our vote share, and turned a safe Tory seat into a marginal. I’ve led campaigns as a CLP coordinator, worked in the Hamilton by-election, and supported national efforts across Scotland.

I bring energy, discipline, and a relentless focus on delivering for working people. MSTL is winnable, if we fight like we’re one seat short of forming a Scottish Labour Government.
